Sheila grew up in Maryland and studied English and French at Wake Forest University. She has an MA in English from the College of William and Mary. She has taught at Phillips Andover, the University of Vermont, and Middlebury College, and for the last several years has been working as a writer and editor. She has published poems and articles in national journals and magazines and is the creator of the food blog The Vermont Epicure. Sheila has lived in France at three different times and in three different cities--Dijon, Paris, and Aix-en-Provence. Miming in French is her first novel.
